I Took the transmission apart and found the direct metal clutches toasted, I had to leave for 10 days so the trans was send to another shop to be build, now it has no third gear;
Problem
no third gear, while I'm away they pulled it back and send it back to the other shop, it seems that the builder had problem with a metal ring that broke and finally we got it back, Installed it and no third gear again. They have replaced the governor making sure it was installed properly and no luck. It has been about 20 years since I build one of this, It doesn't feel like a hard unit, I need any ideas how to diagnose the problem; any old timers out there? please help.
