allison 653 overhaul
Problem
allison 653 overhaul gave it to the customer he installed the pto and the transmission into his 3tonn feed mixer truck it didnt make 100 ft forward slipped,we pulled it and removed the pump and found the ring lands on the side of the pump that faces the pto were worn out,and the tephlon rings were leaking,the opposite side of the pump the ring lands were ok,so we installed a new pump and got him rolling,but the customer seems to think it was some kind of contamination that caused the damage,if that was the case why are the lands not worn out evenly all around and why is the bottom of the pump lands not worn from something falling into the drum before the pump was installed,has anyone seen this type of wear before,.
