Original Customer Complaint:
Vehicle came in orginally on the hook with a no pull condition, tore unit down performed complete overhaul it shifted perfectly everything great
Current Customer Complaint:
After a months worth of use customer came in with complaint of a shudder in reverse. Further inspection revealed no engine braking in manual low and a weak reverse with shudder/chatter.I performed a line pressure test and the numbers were 76psi in neutral at 1000 rpm,72psi in drive at idle,90psi in drive at 1000rpm,160psi drive 2 at 1000rpm,100psi in reverse at 1000rpm.
Work Completed This Visit:
I performed a line pressure test and this is what i recieved, 76psi in neutral at 1000rpm,72psi in drive at idle,90psi in drive at 1000rpm,160psi in drive 2 at 1000rpm,100psi in reverse at 1000rpm and according to my literature this is satisfactory so upon other bulletins i inspected the 2-3 accumulator piston to ensure it was made of aluminum and it is so i did remove the spring and reinstalled it,after this the shudder/chatter was gone but when placed in rev. it feels weak and you must accelerate to move so i drove it and still no engine braking in man. low. At this point i chose to snatch the low servo cover and installed a longer servo rod approximatly .100 longer well same problem but this time i created a neutral creep probably to long of a pinand with no tool to inspect i just guessed anyhow.I snatched the unit benched it and to no suprise the rear band and roller clutch looks and works great so i need help! Anything will be considered and appreciated!!
