Problem Information
shift to 3rd gear- neutrals
all the time
Vehicle was at 3 other garages now I have the pleasure to repair it!! Was rebuilt at another garage and has original complaint according to customer. Other garage says it is not the transmission.
67 when not in park during test
Problem
I scanned for codes has 67 (MLPS) only if you don't have it in park during test. I hooked up the kwik test box and was able to shift trans through all gears. Monitoring the signal at trans with box found Sol 1 is always commanded on and Sol 2 is off. The vehicle appears to be pulling out in 2nd and slips in 3rd. How it shifts when it is not being commanded to has me baffeled. I checked the wiring from the pcm to the trans are all ok. Tried a used pcm with same result. Tested resistance on mlps and found 213 ohms in D which should be 401 Man 2 should be 211(Mitchell on demand). Replaced mlps and have the same readings and same condition. Any advice from this point would be greatly appreciated.
