PO741 Tcc performance stuck off

Original Customer Complaint:
With no warning,trans lost 3rd gear.
Current Customer Complaint:
transmission shifts 1-2- then when shifts to third it neutrals out.
Work Completed This Visit:
Removed pan and seen early shift solenoid setup,but did not see anything wrong and solenoids did not show any signs of damage and checked good...scan shows 3rd gear is being commanded...pan is extremely clean....Decided to remove trans and thus far have seen no obviuos problem...Anyone run into this concern?
