Problem Information
overheats quickly
within 2miles
O/D hub O/D sungear
After overhaul unit shifted fine but had a whine in gear and overheated within 2-3 miles. We installed aux cooler with no result.Unit was pulled and torn down.Converter was replaced No problems found in unit.After installation both whine and overheat condition remained.Unit removed again and torn down again.This time we replaced pump,valve body,solenoid body and installed original convertor.Whine was gone and overheat condition remained.When hot, unit went to limpin and set codes 51&36 Returned to shop and engine would stall in gear.
Problem
We can not figure out the cause of the overheat condition.I have never seen a unit generate heat so fast .
