trans slips in fwd gears

I don't even know were to start
On the test drive before we began repairs this trans worked ok but the fwd clutch sliped. I found it burnt bad and lip seal cut. we overhauled it increased the clutches in rev,direct, fwd and 4th. new converter and transco shift kit. we replace the Mlps and the sol. pack
Summary:
in the drive position it works fine. all ranges work fine except in manual 2nd it will start and stay in 4th gear. if you put it in drive (o/d) range and make 4th, when you shift it to 2nd it will make a shift to 3rd and back to forth. The only other info that might be helpful is the o/d cancel button is tore off, wires hanging. I don't think it should make a differance but I don't know for sure.
