Problem Information
Noise in 1st gear
Anytime in 1st gear noise is present
Low planet set (2x)
Car came in with customer complaining that there is a gear noise/whine that occurs when coming to a stop. We test-drove the vehicle, and identified what we *THOUGHT* was low planet noise. Noise only occurred in 1st gear and was most noticeable when coming to a stop and the vehicle downshifted into 1st gear. Can also duplicate the noise if you lock the trans in 1st gear and drive it at 6-7 MPH. We over-hauled the unit with banner kit, band, filter, torque converter, and replaced every piece of the low planet set with a used set. The noise continued. We pulled the unit again, and replaced the entire low planet set again with another used set. Noise still there-but worse now.

Problem
Noise in 1st gear when vehicle is held at speeds of 6-7 MPH, and also noise when the trans downshifts from 2nd into 1st gear.
