Rebuilt transmission with new torque converter, new reverse band, foward steels, foward and direct pistons, and shift solenoids. Also bypassed radiator to a new heavy duty cooler because it was clogged with converter material.

Original Customer Complaint:
Would not move
Current Customer Complaint:
Slipping in reverse
Work Completed This Visit:
Pulled & examined valve body, air checked tranny, and pulled and examined reverse boost valve which had a just a little bit of side to side wear.
Summary:
Works good cold, but once it gets hot you have to rev up enging before it engages. After you try that a few times it starts to slip really bad. Foward gears work fine.
Update
Pulled the unit and found that the direct clutches had been slipping(hot spots on steels). The metal washer under the front planet showed signs of wear on the outer edge all around. Also I noticed that with the reverse servo and cover bolted in place, the band was already applied. I pulled it and reinstalled it, but as soon as the cover is all the way down, the band gets applied. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
