All 3 bands, all 3 servo pistons, sunshell, superior shift kit
Vehicle came in with broken intermediate band. Pulled unit, rebuilt with all listed parts and reinstalled. 2 weeks later customer returned with complaint of 2-1 downshift clunk. During initial overhaul customer wanted to save some money so we did not replace the solenoid pack. Also, both servo bores were super tight and did not need to be bored and resleeved.
No Diagnotic Codes at this time.
Problem
During this visit, we rebuilt the driveshaft with 2 new u joints and a high speed balance. No change. Then we did a brain dead of the computer, checked and readjusted both bands (they were set ok), and put some grease into the driveshaft yoke. No change with all of that either. Just put a factory Ford Solenoid Body on it thinking that because that wasn't replaced during the first overhaul that could be our problem there. No change with that either. Anyone have any ideas or directions to steer us in would be greatly appreciated. Maybe one of you have seen this before and can help us out here. Thank you for you help. Mike Krosevic
