slipping
slipping forward reverse
HAS 20.000 MILES REBULT BY AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS.
REBULT BY AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS.
Code P1700 was found. fluid not too bad. found metal particals in the pan.
Problem
weeks prior customer felt that the transmission ‘slipped’ every once in a while, and some ‘hard’ shifts. The morning the transmission was brought in, all gears worked, pulled into a parking lot, there was a ‘clunk’ and very little reverse, no drive or third forward motion, worked in 2 and 1. drove at 30 mph. the 5 miles to shop in 2nd gear position.
Update
we pulled trans out. I found OD planet gear assembly Replaced. sun gear-ODcarrier-Ring gear-od sprag-master kit bushing kit Torque converter.we used universal ATF mixt w/ Lubgard- that makes Mercon5. solenoid tested Good. put it back on vehicle. it work good for one day. than came back w/ delay engagement and slipping 3rd gear. it has Codes PO733-PO745 any one have any comments to this Problem of what it may have cause the failure. we'r pulling transmission out again to find out. tell me your knowlage of this. need your help. thank you everyone.
