Original Customer Complaint:
Trans prob...no second
Current Customer Complaint:
engine drag down coming to a stop
Work Completed This Visit:
dropped pan to inspect for damage-burnt fluid, clutch material...etc. Found pan to be clean, looked like it had been ovehauled yesterday....replaced tcc/od sol assem., but the original checked fine. Reinstalled pan and same prob.
Summary:
The vehicle seems to have excessive tcc drag, although not fully applied, not enough to stall engine, if I were to estimate I would say 30-40% applied, judging by the engine load. Since tcc slip data is not available for this app., this is purley an estimate. The symptom does not occur all the time, it is somewhat erractic. I have pulled the unit, and comepletly inspected each component and found nothing worn or defective. I also completely boned the valve body, and again found nothing wrong. Next I will change the torque converter, but I really would like to solve this by finding the problem, and not throwing parts at it.....any help would be greatly appriciated.

Update
I always go back with the oversized seal, I dont understand why they continue to put the small one in the kits, although replaced on overhaul could the new governor solenoid and or switch maybe be acting up a little?, possible t.c.m?... I meant to update sooner but have been also waiting on a call back from the customer, although replaced new on overhaul we went ahead and replaced the governor solenoid and switch again and apparently it has not acted up... kinda weird.
