codes po731,p1741
carry in transmission from police department, said they had present codes and no 1st or 4th gear.

Problem
rebuilt transmission with clutches,bands solenoids, torque converter.
codes were present prior to rebuild.
solenoids indicate 1st gear command according to modis

Update
reinstalled transmission,after replacing sprag, worked fine for about 10 miles, driving about 40mph and check engine light came on both codes returned then no 1st or 4th.
everything points towards solenoid a problem.
I have tried 2 sets of solenoids and replaced internal harness.
Im really feeling were having a pcm problem,
